ALI’I KAI MUG

In Ali’i Kai, all the streets are named for flowers. The name translates loosely to rulers of the shore district. I have always loved the juxtaposition of the sweetness of the flowered street names and the power of the neighborhood’s name - it perfectly reflects the vibe. The air is plumeria sweet and ocean salty, it’s cool and quiet in the mornings and loud and hot in the afternoons. It’s vibrant, rich in aloha, and as mix plate as it gets. I didn’t grow up in this neighborhood but I’m thankful to be here now. I hope you feel the aloha in every morning cup of coffee.
